FREQUENCY INVERTERS /
CONTROL UNITS

Our portfolio includes a complete supply scheme for the instrumentation and control (I&C). We are a provider of related products, devices, components and spare parts. In addition to the I&C equipment, we design and produce a complete control system.

Pump speed control through a frequency converter is the most advanced, efficient and effective way to control the pump.

In principle, there are two types of frequency converters. An older, classic principle of a frequency converter is based on the pulse width modulation (PWM). A more advanced, though less common, principle is based on the direct torque control (DTC).

In general, the pump speed control through a frequency converter is based on a change in the frequency of the motor supply voltage of the motor, thus achieving a smooth change in the speed of this rotary machine.

The frequency converter is able to ensure a smooth and safe start of the pump without the need to use any control valve mounted on the discharge line.

Most frequency converters are supplied in the form of a compact device with an easy-to-understand user interface through which it is possible to easily set the parameters of the converter and eventually also those of the motor controlled.

Frequency converters usually contain basic motor protection devices (thermal protection ...).

If there are demands for more sophisticated electronic control systems, we supply complex control and protection units. In such a case, the frequency converter is usually combined with electronic protection modules.

These units are able to monitor the shaft output power and detect abnormal operating conditions of the motor or pump. The device thus protects the pumping unit from overload, the pump from dry running, cavitation, etc.

If installed, the above-mentioned complex system ensures safe, sophisticated and efficient way of regulation, protection and monitoring of the pump unit.
