Ultrafiltration
by PRAKTIKPUMP
PRAKTIKPUMP uses the Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) as the membrane fibre material. PVDF provides the high strength of porous membrane structure without the use of reinforcing materials. It has an excellent combination of strength and flexibility, making it less susceptible to fibre damage and shows long lifetime. PVDF has a very high resistance to oxidizing substances (e.g.> 10 times to chlorine compared to PES). The PRAKTIKPUMP / DOW UF membranes consisting of PVDF have unbeatable resistance to fouling by organics because they are made as highly hydrophilic (water as a polar substance adheres to them).
